Catherine Dearlove
Catherine Dearlove is Pastor of River of Life, founded in the global denomination of Metropolitan Community Churches. She graduated from Brisbane College of Theology with a Bachelor of Theology and is currently undertaking a Masters in Spirituality here in the U.K.
She has been with Metropolitan Community Churches for 26 years in various roles such as Worship Team and Board Member, Choir Director, Lay Deligate and now as Clergy following her Ordination in August 2008.
Catherine has worked in the voluntary and Government sectors for Youth and enjoys building community partnerships to ensure that all people have access to everything they need to flourish.
She likes to break down the barriers religious dogma put up and has a passion for empowering people to explore their own walk of faith.
The River of Life ethos is that Divine presence moves in and through all things, drawing all of creation together under one natural law. Our mission is to be a progressive Christian church, which reaches outside of human boundaries and into the realm of God, challenging and growing in new ways and new understandings. We welcome all people, regardless of religious or church tradition, faith journey or background. All are invited to step into the water and journey with us along the river of life.
